He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gunter and Adaline Gunter; and his siblings, Nina Mae Gunter, Bessie Cooper and James Gunter.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bivens Gunter; his son Jeff; his daughter-in-law Rhonda Gunter of Vonore; his grandchildren, Joshua Robert, Adrienne Gunter, Travis Ray Gunter, Christina Marie Martin (Dexter) and Jeffrey Lance Gunter; his great grandchildren, Mason Waldrop and Keaton Robert Gunter; and his siblings, Thelma Herr of Madisonville, Charlotte Williams of Madisonville, Jack Gunter of Maryville and Charles Vernon Gunter (Freida) of Madisonville. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
