With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barney Tipton of Vonore, Tennessee, who passed away on July 24, 2020 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his grandson Brently Tipton; his parents, Virgle, Sr. Tipton and Ethel Gentry Tipton; and his siblings, Sue Kirkland and Joe Tipton.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred King Tipton; his children, Cindy (Tony Millsaps), Ann (Brad Mullins), Wayne (Carla Tipton) and Roger (LaGonda Tipton); his grandchildren, Josh (Rebecca), Ike, Amanda (Billy), Trish (Brandon), Stacy, Miranda (Aaron), Daniel (Jennifer), Bryan and Sheena (Sam); his great grandchildren, Joslyn, Jasper, Riley, Remington, Alana, Wyett, Zalen, Kail, AJ, Paizlea, Brently and Ryder; and his siblings, Mary Lou, Virgle Tipton, Jr. of Vonore and Harvey Tipton of Maryville. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, the family requests anyone wishing to do so may park along the mountain road to Mt. Pleasant as the family procession passes and then follow the procession to the cemetery.
