He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Wood Jernigan and Earline McCollough; and his brother Earl Jernigan. He is survived by: his wife Lauretta Jernigan; his daughters, Renee McGhee (Preston) and Christy Thomas (Joey); his brother Joe Jernigan (Della); his stepsons, Ronnie Sharp, Michael Sharp (Christie) and Joseph Sharp; his grandchildren, Michael "Bubba" Burke (Amanda), Victoria "Tori" Mullins (Gerardo) and Taylor Ramirez (Deigo); his great grandchildren, Lylah Burke, Landin Burke, Karter Mullins, Otto Mullins, Mia Ramirez and Tate Ramirez; and his stepgrandchildren, Addie Sharp and Joseph Anderew.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards Roy's funeral expenses.
