He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Ray Griffy and Mary Alice Sullivan Griffy; his wife Marjorie Leverette Griffy; his daughter Tammy Griffy; and his siblings, Hettie Hargrove, Betty Leverette and William "Bill" Griffy.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Griffy (Janice) of Columbia, TN and Mark Griffy (Lydia) of Unionville, TN; his grandchildren, Patrick Griffy (Lindsay), Andrea Baker (Wade) and Kyle Griffy (Holly); and his great grandchildren, Georgia Kate Griffy, Olivia Griffy and Linley Baker.
