Virgie Shields Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 13, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Virgie Shields of Union City, Tennessee. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. You may also light a candle in honor of Virgie Shields or send a beautiful flower arrangement to the funeral service.
Though Virgie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Virgie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Taft and Ethel Mae Elam (Nash); and her spouse Charlie "Shorty" Shields. She is survived by: her children, Vickie Rhoades (Kenneth) of Union City, Debbie Matheny (Lonnie) of Troy and Larry Shields (Nancy) of Bartlett; and her brother Johnny Elam of Dickson.
