We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2023, at the age of 76, Richard Jerry Smith of Union City, Tennessee, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Herschel Smith, Sr. and Anna Ruth Smith; and his brother L. Herschel Smith, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Lori Ann Millard of Union City; his grandchildren, Virginia Ann Millard of Union City and Christopher Berkley Millard (Kaitlyn) of North Carolina; his sister Gloria Ann Smith Cox (John) of Chattanooga; and his sister-in-law Debbie Smith of Chattanooga. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to First Methodist Church in Union City, 420 E. Main St., Union City, TN, 38261.
