He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Edgin and Hattie Edgin (Murphy); his close friend Beverly Terrell; his daughter Valerie Edgin; and his siblings, Jimmy Edgin, Denmon Edgin, Leamon Edgin, Lillian Hutchison, Anetha Tuggle and Martha Simmons.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Edgin (Connie) of Fulton and Buddy Edgin of Union City; his grandchildren, Shea Sweeney of Paducah, Sean Edgin (Alex) of Murray and Taylor Shields (Jeremy) of Mayfield, Kentucky; his great grandchildren, Selena Sweeney of Paducah, SJ Sweeney of Sedalia, Jackson Edgin of Murray, Evelyn Shields of Mayfield, Kentucky and Jessie Shields of Mayfield, Kentucky; and his sister Willie Hager (Bob) of Michigan.
