She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Alvie and Elizabeth Roten McClain; her husband Jack Griffith; her grandson Matthew Lyn Barnes; and the father of her children Gene Owens.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Owens (Vicki) of Fulton, KY and Connie Barnes Maynord (Chris) of Hendersonville, TN; her grandchildren, Dominic Verderese Barnes (Corey) of Chicago, IL, Wendy Owens Puckett (Paul) of Fulton, KY and Scott Owens (Amy) of Camden, TN; her great grandchild Sophie Owens; and her siblings, Jeanette Pentecost Pollock of San Antonio, TX., Rev. Jack McClain of Johnnie Greth, J. L, Juanita Hawks, Bob McClain, Jane Driver Tunnicliff, Jenna Vincent Pewitt, Baby Joe McClain, Thomas Alvie, Jr. and Doris McClain Parise.
