She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Herbert and Lillie Mai Newsom (Melton); her spouse Lonnie Pruitt; and her sons-in-law, Robert Reid and Johnny Sutton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Hazel Jane Reid of Union City and Beverly Sutton of Union City. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
