He is survived by: his wife Nancy Atkins of Union City; his sons, David Atkins (Linda) of Alden, MI, Steve Atkins (Kay Fleming) of Jackson, MI and Tim Atkins (Wayne Gooding) of Jackson, MI; his daughter-in-law Pennie Atkins of Jackson, MI; his stepchildren, Kelly Redden (Shane) and Mark Keel (Maria) of Tacoma, WA; his grandchildren, Heather, William (Tatiana), Autumn (Jimmy) and Ben (Austin); his stepgrandchildren, Mavaney, Noah, Isabelle, Grant, Daphne, Kate, Andrew and Emily; his great grandchildren, Masen, Ciara, Emeri, Dominic and Liam; and his great great grandchild Madisen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
