He was predeceased by: his parents, James Darnell and Addie Mae Tivis (Spencer). He is survived by: his wife Cindy Tivis (Jeffery) of Union City; his children, Jeremy Tivis (Jennifer) of Union City, Misty Spagler of Athens and John Thomas of Obion; and his brothers, Frank Tivis (Lee Ann) of Decatur and Ron Tivis (Tonya) of Denton, Texas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
