He is survived by: his spouse Gaynelle Freeman; his children, Karl Johnson of Union City and Kris Hooper (Johnny) of Union City; his grandchildren, Rance Hooper (Keisha) of Union City, Kelsey Lynn Johnson of Union City and Wendy Kersey of Troy; and his great grandchildren, Harrison Hooper of Union City, Alexus Hooper of Union City, Devin Palmer (Katie) of Aberdeen, NC and John David Kersey of Union City.
