She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford Carr and Ambret Thomas Carr; her spouse Dorance Caldwell; her brothers, Dairus, Jesse and Jake Carr; and her grandmother Ruth Ward.

She is survived by: her son Phil Caldwell (Jeanne) of Union City; and her sister Mignon Guess (Snooks) of Union City.
