He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Maxl "Mack" Sims and Angelena "Angie" Sims (Johnson); and his siblings, Lena Maxine Hunter, Melinda Sims, Joe Sims, Randy Lee Sims and Tim Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Tippitt of Union City; his children, Alexis Sims of Union City, William Barnes of Henning and Zachery Bates of Union City; and his brother Jimmy Sims (Karen) of Fulton, Kentucky. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
