He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Clement Roper and Carlene Roper Duke (Glisson); and his brother Jimmy Roper. He is survived by: his children, Sheree Nagel of Wisconsin and Keith Roper of Las Vegas, Nevada; his brother Mike; and his sister-in-law Sandra Duke of Bartlett.
