He is survived by: his wife Carol Byars (Scherffius); his sons, David Lee Byars, Jr. of Mobile and Travis Ross Byars (Brittney) of Blue Ridge, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Shelby Byars of Blue Ridge, Georgia., Olivia Byars of Blue Ridge, Georgia. and Cameron Byars of Blue Ridge, Georgia..
