He was predeceased by: his parents, Artest Hester "Art" and Beatress "Bea" Powers; and his sister-in-law Roxana Powers. He is survived by: his son Wayne Powers, Jr. (Heather); his grandchildren, Chloe Powers and Corbin Powers; his siblings, Michael Powers and Suzie Adkins (Floyd); and his close friend Brenda Taylor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
