She was predeceased by: her parent Omar Simerly; her husband Bill Brummett; her stepfather Lawrence Cornett; and her sister Barbara Miller. She is survived by: her parent Nettie Berry Cornett; her children, Billy Joe Brummett (Kathy) of Unicoi, Jeff Brummett (Reva) of Unicoi, Jimmy Brummett (Shelly) of Unicoi, Brian Brummett of Unicoi, Bobby Brummett (Constance) and Teresa Lane (Clifford Barnes); and her sister Shirley Whitehead (Ed). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
