He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewing Robert Massey and Josephine Johnston Massey; his wife Edna Gouge Massey; his siblings, Alma Taylor, Loren Massey and Carl Massey Sr.; his nephew Carl "Butch" Massey Jr.; and his stepson Dennis Killen.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Daniel Killen of Unicoi and Randy Killen of Forest City, NC; his stepgrandson Andrew Killen; his nephew James Taylor (Debbie) of Newport, TN; and his nieces, Robin Massey Mcgregor of Sevierville, TN and Candy Massey of Johnson City, TN.
Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 A.M. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Cedar Grove Baptist Church at 353 Cedar Grove Road Johnson City, TN 37601.
