It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Ed Hollifield of Unicoi, Tennessee, born in Erwin, Tennessee, who passed away on October 24, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Hollifield and Evlee Hollifield (Rogers); his stepmother Kate Lola Holifield (Foster); his brother Lester Hollifield; and his niece Leslie Calloway.
He is survived by: his wife Ruthann Hollifield; his children, Scott Hollifield, Mark Hollifield and Donna Lynn Caskie (Dan); his grandchildren, Tyler Caskie and Marley Caskie; and his siblings, Brenda Calloway (Jack), Roselee Whitson, Rick Hollifield (Tina) and David Hollifield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Richard's name to the Unicoi County Animal Shelter, 185 N. Industrial Drive, Erwin, TN 37650.
