She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Emory and Kate Sparks Ray; her husband Joseph Willard Clayton; her son Ricky Clayton; and her brother Paul Ray.
She is survived by: her children, David Clayton (Wanda), Patricia King (Duane) and Mary Farrington (Rodney); her sisters, Lily Elliott, Thelma Tinker and Lorraine Ray; her great grandchildren, Carrie Estep Roberts and Bradley Farrington; and her great great grandchildren, Isaiah Lee Roberts, Destiny Renee Roberts and Willow Ruthie-Anne Franklin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
