He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Dykes; and his children, Dwayne Dykes and Lori King. He is survived by: his close friend Doris McInturff; his children, Charlotte Franklin, Steve, Ruby Bryant, Patricia Shipley and Randy; and his close friends, Ann and Doug Hoilman. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church (525 Pleasant Vale Rd, Chuckey, TN 37641).
