He was predeceased by: his parent Bascum Tipton; his wife Cloanna Ann Tipton; and his sisters, Susie Byrd and Billie McCurry. He is survived by: his parent Lela Pierce Tipton; his son Travis Tipton of Flag Pond; his sisters, Peggy Cox (Ralph) of Jonesborough, Elzona Jennings (Bob) of Jonesborough, Betty Peterson of Jonesborough and Ellen McCurry (Plin); his granddaughter Kaley Ann Tipton; and his nieces, Annette Haynie and Melissa Lanclos. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
