It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Montie Calvin Nelson of Unicoi, Tennessee, who passed away on July 31, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Nelson and June Ritchie Nelson; his brother-in-law Larry Torbett; his parents-in-law, Nick and Dorothy Nave; and his uncle Frank "Nip" Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Toumonava Nave Nelson; his daughter Jennifer Nelson Robinson (Tim); his grandchildren, Nelson Elliott and Hailey Robinson; his sisters, Sondra Torbett and Linda Wilcox; his nieces and nephews, Sarah Torbett Akard (Travis), Carole Torbett Ringley (Josh), Sophia Akard, Mark Torbett (Kim), Matthew Torbett, Denver Muncey, Mitchell Ringley and Brayden Ringley; his aunt Beatrice Roark; his close friend Don Hale; his pet Angel; and his friend Montie.
