He is survived by: his mother Dianne Cain Brost Phillips; his wife Sandra Blankenship Brost; his daughter Alexandra Brost of Asheville, NC; his stepchildren, Gabe, Alex and Lauren; and his siblings, Don Brost (Jennifer) and Jill Calhoun (Bruce). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
