He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Laurilla and Aune "Esther" Laurilla (Konu); his sisters, Kay (Gary Eiden) and Sally (Wendel Gilbert); and his son Eric.

He is survived by: his wife Sandy Laurilla (Rengel); and his grandchildren, Shannon, Lauren (Jared Stephenson), Luke (Shelley), Natalie and Camden (Kristen).
