He was predeceased by: his parent Spencer Hoyle; his wife Trula Lewis Hoyle; and his siblings, Harold, Robert, Grady, Vanas Hoyle, Vera Carter, Delia Hoyle, Una Blankenship and Edna Davis.
He is survived by: his parent Ethel Chandler Hoyle; his children, James Hoyle (Lisa), Terry Hoyle (Ginger), Erwin Hoyle, Ricky Hoyle, Flag Pond, Sharlene Feagin of Olanta, SC, Charlotte Shelton (Ronnie), Jane Hoyle, Lela Mainer (Gary) and Christine Shelton (J. C.); and his sisters, Shirley Fender of Erwin, Berl Stephenson of Erwin and Phyllis Hoyle of Erwin. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
