She was predeceased by: her parents, John Garland and Grace Danner Garland; her brothers, Herbert Garland and Ted Hodges; and her daughter-in-law Rita Hopson.
She is survived by: her children, David Hopson (Debra) of Jonesborough, Greg Hopson of Jonesborough, Carol Ann Hopson of Chattanooga and Angie McInturff of Unicoi; her siblings, Dwight Garland, Johnny Garland (Karen) and Carolyn Harnish of Melborne, FL; and her grandchildren, Seth Pangle (Chasidy), John Pangle, Ryan Hopson (Amanda), Josh Hopson, Luke Hopson, Erika Hopson, Jessica Bacon (Ben) and Cody McInturff. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
