We bid farewell to Gay Evans Whitt of Unicoi, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 20, 2025 at the age of 84. Gay Evans touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gay Evans may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Jerry; her children, Mike and Amy; and her parents, Ralph Augustus Evans and Ruth Hinkle Evans.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Christian Church (307 S Main Ave, Erwin, TN 37650). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to The Children's Advocacy Center of Sullivan County or First Christian Church, Erwin.
