He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Sullins and Lydia Dayton Sullins; his son Mark S. Sullins; his great grandchild Little Robbie Jones; and his siblings, Andrew Sullins, Jack Sullins, Betty Duggan, Margaret Grindstaff and Helen Whitson.
He is survived by: his wife Ava Randolph Sullins; his children, Doug Sullins, Jr. (Melinda), Donna Garves (Joe) and Lisa McCurry (Toney); his daughter-in-law Mary Jo Sullins; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Honeycutt, Marlie Sullins, Marshall Sullins, Sean McCurry, Stacy Sullins Bradford, Carmen Hubbard and Candace Sullins; his great grandchildren, Ashley Honeycutt, Brittany Eller and Ilysiah Cole Williams; and his sister Verna Lee Alford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
