She was predeceased by: her parent Marcus Bailey; her siblings, Virgil Bailey, Marcus Bailey, Jr., Harlan Bailey and Gladys Wilson; and her daughter-in-law Patsy Gilbert.
She is survived by: her parent Grace Lloyd Bailey; her spouse Robert "Bob" Gilbert; her children, Glenn Gilbert and Robin Hyder (Ricky) of Erwin; her grandchildren, Carl Gilbert (Anna), Elizabethton, Mark Gilbert (Jodi), Robert Hyder, Ryan Hyder (April), Gray, Rachelle Shurtz (Jay), Sara Schwenke (Gary) and Unicoi; her great grandchildren, Chase Gilbert, Dakota Schwenke, Blake Schwenke, Braxton Hyder, Aiden Hyder, River Shurtz, Ava Gilbert, Ella Hyder, Madeleine Gilbert, Abbygale Gilbert and Willa Shurtz; her siblings, James A. Bailey of Erwin, Teddy Bailey of Erwin, Verlin Bailey (Faye) of Erwin, Ebb Bailey (Betty) and Blanche Blankenship of Erwin; and her close friends, Dorothy Rogers, Holly Morton and Pat Harrell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
