She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Osborne and Ruth McInturff Osborne; her husband D. J. Garland; and her sons, Daniel "Danny" Garland and Manuel "Manny" Garland.

She is survived by: her son David Garland (Beverly) of Knoxville; her sisters, Frances "Tanny" Ray (David) and Carolyn Harris; and her pet Amber. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
