He was predeceased by: his parents, Mountie Payne and Della Cantrell Payne. He is survived by: his wife Rosie Payne of Turtletown, TN; his sons, Randy Payne (Susie), Edward Payne (Donna), Randall Payne (Elizabeth), Neil Prince (Anita) and Melvin Prince (Ann); his grandchildren, Tiffany Payne, Brett Payne, Brooklyn Payne, Brandon Payne, Dillon Payne, Grace Payne, Ashley Reichert, Candice Turner, Logan Prince, Tommy Prince and Timmy Prince; and his great grandchildren, Emory Payne, Coraline Reichert and Adilyne Turner.
