She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Padgett and Gwendolyn Walker Padgett; her husband Tommy Shields; and her brother Ray Padgett. She is survived by: her children, Mary Jane Cox (Jamie) of Blue Ridge, Brandon Shields (Jeff Collins) of Copperhill, Brittney Allen (Jason) of Turtletown and Matthew Shields (Miranda) of Turtletown; her grandchildren, Keshia Dover, Kayla Davenport, Carly Cox, Landon Allen, Lilah Shields, Alayna Allen and Zeb Shields; her great grandchildren, Kylan Dover, Kyndall Dover, Gabe Davenport and Pippa Davenport; and her sisters, Rose Postell of Ducktown, Libby Thomas of Turtletown and Jenny Pittman (Butch) of McCaysville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel (823 Ocoee St, Copperhill, TN 37317). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
