He was predeceased by: his parents, Addie James Burkett and Myrtle Rowe Burkett; his wife Stella Faye Burkett; and his children, Deborah Faye Burkett, Cheryl Burkett, Pamela Burkett and Mark Andrew Burkett.
He is survived by: his son Jack Delbert Burkett, Jr. (Charmagne) of Turtletown, TN; his grandchildren, Raymond Burkett of Monett, MO, Deborah, Ed Trier of Rockford, IL, Sharon, Robert Myer of Lynchburg, VA, Jack D. Burkett, III (Maggie Hughes) of Blue Ridge, GA, Sabrina, Terry Ross of McCaysville, GA, Joshua, Deeann Burkett of Mineral Bluff, GA, Rocky and Kayleen Burkett of Turtletown, TN; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Burkett of Hanford, CA. He is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
