He was predeceased by: his parents, Jamie Wells and Gela Louise Lane Wells; his son Morris Ray Wells; his grandson Ethan Tyler Wells; his siblings, Burton Wells, Ted Wells, Mae Skaggs and Gela Merritt; and his daughter-in-law Phyllis Wells.
He is survived by: his wife Dora Lee Cates Wells; his son William Darryl Wells (Jeannine); his grandchildren, Misty Brinkley (Carey), April O'Tinger (Chad), Christopher Wells (Erika), Megan Wells, Jayden Wells and Dalton Wells; his great grandchildren, Colt, Cash Brinkley, Caleb O'Tinger, Kaylee and Lilah Wells; and his sister-in-law Mary Louise Wells. He is also survived by several extended family members and a host of friends.
