He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Holder and Effie Reavis Holder; his wife Helen Huffman Holder; his siblings, Edgar Holder, Leta Belle Searcy, Mary Ruth Cumbee and Frances Holder; and his nephews, Glenn Searcy and Hugh Cumbee.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Donna Brown, Barbara Ridner, Shirley Lievanos, Gail Barnhardt (John), Doyle Searcy and Keith Searcy (Amanda). He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
