He was predeceased by: his parents, Benny Hooper and Georgia Anna Carter; his son Randy Carter; his siblings, Benny Carter, Jr., Marlin Carter, Ed Carter, Richard Carter, Raymond Carter, Marvin Carter and Anna May Jones; and his granddaughter Miranda Pinegar.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Dabbs Carter of Tullahoma; his children, Rhonda Talley (John) of Taft, TN, Ricky Carter (Connie) of Tullahoma, Derrick Carter (Teresa) of Winchester, TN, Marshall "Lee" Carter, Jr. (Beth) of Winchester, Regina Rawalt of Manchester, TN and Connie Cargile (Jerry) of Manchester, TN; his sister Annie Ruth Martin; his grandchildren, Brandi Malone, Tamra Carter, Kristin Whetsel, Jonathan Talley, Corey Talley (CJ), Dominick Carter, Braiden Smith, Brianna Carter, Blane Rawalt, Seth Rawalt, Amy Effleston, Terry Cargile and Kaitlyn Burns; and his pet Skippy. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
