He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell and Ruby L Atkins Hill; his sons, Joe P Hill Jr. and Glenn D. Hill; and his brother James F Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Hill of Tullahoma; his daughter Cynthia Lea Hale (Richard) of Navarre, FL; his stepchildren, Richard Snively (Heidi) of Morrison, Dennis Snively (Rita) of South Bend, IN and Julie Binkley (Marshall) of Winchester; and his sister Laura Jane Purtel of Fayetteville, AR. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
