He was predeceased by: his parents, William Horace and Jessie Morgan Horton; and his wife Wilma Jeanne Cloer Horton. He is survived by: his children, Earl Reed Horton, Cheryl Marie Griggs (Anthony) and Jimmie Dale Horton (Kristie); his sister Charlene P. Guider; his grandchildren, Rebekah M. Cochran, Ambralin N. Bowman (Robert), Bradley Dale Horton (Jessica), Alexis K. O'Day (Colton), Abigail E. Valentine (Mason) and Andrew R. Horton; his nieces, Hillary Pierce and Holly Stanek; his nephew Doug Stanek; and his sister-in-law Diane Stanek.
