He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Simmons and Pearl Bohanan Simmons; his wife Brenda Armstrong Simmons; and his brother-in-law Randall Street. He is survived by: his children, James Simmons (Thomasina) of Moore County, Shannon Millsaps (Josh) of Lynchburg and Misty Ridner of Lynchburg; and his siblings, Troy Simmons of Moore County, Sharon Street of Tullahoma, Kathy Holt of Moore County and Linda Knight (Danny) of Moore County. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
