He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Phelps and Casley Jane Phelps; his wife Rebecca Jean Nelson; and his granddaughter Kimberly Adams. He is survived by: his daughters, Katherine Jane Gurton (Spencer) of Shelbyville and Rebecca Renee Garman (Frankie Wilhoite) of Tullahoma; his grandchildren, Aubrey Gurton, Ryan Gurton, Madeline Arnold, Anthony Arnold and Tristen Thibault; and his great grandchild Brynlee Sadler.
