She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Berry Smith and Flora Pitts Smith; her sister-in-law Ophelia Smith; and her close friends, Dr. Jessie Campbell, Mary Childress, Emma Terry, Virginia Jennings and Teresa Pate. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
