She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Laten Sr. and Lois Koonce Laten; and her brothers, Charles Laten II, Rocky Laten and Dwight Laten.
She is survived by: her husband Xavier Castro; her children, Jason Walker (Cayenne) and Jennifer Wynne (Thomas); her stepdaughter Michelle Castro-Wengler (Daniel); her grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy, Jayden, Lily and Milo; her sister Janis Majewski (Leo); and her cousin Kathy Bush (Keith). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
