In loving memory of William Smith Caldwell of Troy, Tennessee, who departed this world on February 20, 2025 at the age of 80. William leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joyner Caldwell and Allie Bess Smith Caldwell; his wife Sammye Thornton Caldwell; and his sisters, Ann McEwen and Wilda Dyer.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Jackson (Mark) of Martin and Kurt Caldwell (Delia Haskins) of Troy; his grandchildren, Brady York (Caitlyn) of South Fulton, Tori York of Martin, Joyner Caldwell of Chattanooga, Austin Caldwell of Troy and Northam of Troy; and his siblings, Donnie Caldwell of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Mary Lynn (Steve) of Sugar Tree, Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Troy First Baptist Church (519 E Harper St, Troy, TN 38260). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to First Baptist Church in Troy or to The Gideons International.
