It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ray Evans Sr. of Troy, Tennessee, born in Tiptonville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Robert Evans, Sr. and Clara Lorene Evans; and his siblings, Jim Humfress, Buddy Humfress, Tom Evans, Paul D. Evans, Marie Roberson and Linda Reynolds.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Darlene Parrot of Waverly, Keleta Evans Turnage of Troy and James Ray Evans, Jr. (Wendy) of Latham, Tennessee; his siblings, Carl Robert Evans Jr. (June), Betty Stout of Dresden, Wanda Stafford (Tommy) of Samburg and Vicky Clemons of Missouri; and his grandchildren, Natalie D. Nolte (Jason) of Olive Branch, Ashley Nicole Camaso (Tim) of Newbern, Deanna Renae Curtis (Adam) of Waverly, Michael S Hall, II (Bethany) of Richlands, Madison Leigh Winchester of Kenton, Megan Elizabeth Winchester of Union City and Autumn Marie Faith Jackson of Ridgely, Tennessee. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; and several neices and nephews.
