He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Hayse Pate and Rata Mills Conn Billingsley; his wife Ruth Adelle Traywick Pate; and his sister Louise Johnson. He is survived by: his son Brad; his daughter-in-law Tracy Pate of Troy; his daughter Joanie Matthews of Horn Lake, MS; his grandchildren, Braylin Pate of Troy and Jack Pate of Union City; his siblings, Mickey Billingsley of Paris, TN, Claude Billingsley (Carmen) of Union City, Amber Webb of Paris, TN and Jean Elvington of Waverly, TN; and his stepgrandchildren, Brooklyn Vowell of Hickman, Brianna Johnson of Martin, Aubree, Jack and Sam Guess of Union City.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the White-Ranson Funeral Home (212 W Washington Ave, Union City, TN 38261). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (2250 E Reelfoot Ave, Union City, TN 38261).
