She was predeceased by: her father Landon Allred; and her siblings, Sandra West (Sandy), Juanita Wilkinson (Jo), Jewel Allred and Jimmy Allred.

She is survived by: her husband Jackie Joyner; her children, Jackie Joyner Jr. (Jennifer), Michael Joyner and Melody Joyner (Dawn); and her grandchildren, Caitlyn Joyner, Madison Joyner, Cason Joyner and Hayden Joyner.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Mrs. Betty.
