She was predeceased by: her father Herchel Vaughn; her former husband Edd Lee Fox; her husband Kenneth Scott; and her brothers, Melvin, Kenneth and Ray Vaughn.
She is survived by: her children, Jana Phillips (Dwight) of Rives, Joye Burney (Bryan) of Hampstead, NC, Jeff Fox (Linda) of Leland, NC, Jason Fox (Michele) of Jackson, Kenny Scott (Patrice) of Cookeville, Mike Scott (Laura) of Troy and Jerry Scott (Betty) of Troy. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
