She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Milton "Bill" Sawyer and Frances Louise Jetton Sawyer; her husband James Aubrey Davis; her son Charles Dennis "Cotton" Sims; and her sisters, Alice Webb and Dorothy Tatum.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Davis of Kenton, Tennessee, Sheri Lewis (Kevin) of Union City and Donna Switzer (Stanley) of Newbern, Tennessee; and her siblings, John Perry Sawyer (Judy) of Shawtown, Tennessee and Wilma Walker of Dyer. She is also survived by "Granny" to her seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
